Stonewall - Drama|| The film is based on a real historical event, the 1969 "Stonewall Bar Riots" in New York. On June 28, 1969, New York police raided a "gangster" bar run by a gangster in the East Village of Manhattan. It was home to homeless gays who made it home because of the mainstream society at the time. This raid did not develop as the police expected, and eventually triggered a large-scale gay protest riot. The chain reaction caused by this riot, together with the black civil rights movement and anti-war demonstrations in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s, changed the social landscape of the United States and the world. The movie "Stonewall Riots" was written by John Robin Bates. The protagonist of the story is a gay boy who was kicked out of his home by his parents. He came to New York from a small country alone, was taken in by the Stonewall Bar, and personally participated in the riots. 2015
