Salvation【Film and TV Commentary】
In 1870s America, a peaceful American settler murders his family's killers, unleashing the wrath of a notorious gang leader. His cowardly fellow townsfolk then betray him, forcing him to hunt down the gangsters alone. The story is set in a small town in the American West in the 1870s. A mild-mannered Danish immigrant seeks revenge on the murderer after losing his family. However, this makes him a thorn in the side of a notorious local villain. All the cowardly residents of the town betrayed him, leaving the protagonist to face the lawbreakers alone. Denmark's western drama film "The Salvation", scheduled to be released on October 2, 2014, was shortlisted for the 67th Cannes Film Festival competition. It is Danish director Christine Levering's fifth feature film to hit the big screen, starring Cannes actor Madd Mikkelsen and sexy actress Eva Green.
