Mike Borisch · The story is adapted from real events and tells the story of Mildred Girard (played by Meadow Williams) who inadvertently became a German propagandist against the American military during World War II. "Axis Sally" was Mildred Girard's nickname. In 1949, after being arrested in postwar Berlin, she was convicted of treason by the United States, with Al Pacino playing Axis Sally's lawyer who defended her.
