Wind and Tide

This drama tells the story of the Anti-Japanese War during the "isolated island" period of Macau from 1942 to 1945 during World War II. After the fall of Hong Kong in December 1941, Macau became an important port for the transfer and exchange of strategic materials from various countries and an international intelligence center, and was pushed to the forefront. The Macao-Portuguese government claimed to be "neutral", but in fact it allowed the Japanese army Zerong to act as a secret service and run amuck. Patriotic Chinese people such as He Xian and Ma Wanqi, as well as Ke Lin, an underground party member of the Communist Party of China, united their compatriots with a strong sense of patriotism and responsibility, and gathered the strength of Macau Chinese associations such as the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Kiang Wu Hospital and Tung Sin Tong to resist. In times of crisis, they discovered that only the Communist Party of China could save China and bring new hope to the Chinese nation. The patriotic Chinese in Macau and the Communist Party of China worked together with the Japanese invaders in a battle of wits and courage on various fronts including financial warfare, intelligence warfare, and material warfare, and achieved major victories one after another. Macao's anti-Japanese national salvation movement not only helped Macao compatriots survive the difficult "turbulence" years in Macao's history, but also raised a large amount of anti-war materials and funds and made important contributions to supporting the entire China's Anti-Japanese War and the world's anti-fascist war.
