Shadow Work

The play is adapted from the novel of the same name by Sano Hiromi. This drama is a suspense-themed work that tells the story of a group of women who have suffered from domestic violence and established the ultimate sisterhood in desperation to survive. The protagonist Noriko (played by Mikako Tabe) has suffered from daily violence from her husband for a long time, gradually losing herself, and even believes that the violence is her fault. She met someone at the hospital she went to after escaping, and was then guided to a single-family house in Enoshima, where she began living with women in similar situations. Noriko gradually regains her original self and normal life, but gradually comes into contact with the secret rules hidden in this house.
