The film is adapted from the comic of the same name and tells the story of an empty high school student who takes a painting as an opportunity to seriously challenge the world of art and strives to get into the most difficult art university in the country. The ordinary protagonist Yaguchi Hachitora, who has neither art experience nor talent, is troubled by opponents with genius painting abilities and the unanswerable art barrier, but he uses his passion as a weapon and overcomes the difficulties with overwhelming efforts.
