Origin of the Earth: Nishinoshima

On November 20, 2013, a volcanic eruption occurred on the seafloor about 500 meters southeast of Nishinoshima Island in Japan. The erupted magma cooled and turned into a new island. More than two years later, the volcano is still erupting. Most of the former Nishinoshima Island was covered by lava, forming the new Nishinoshima Island. This new land has attracted great attention from scholars from all walks of life. Some geologists believe that the expansion of Nishinoshima may provide us with answers to how the earth's early land was formed. NHK, the Japan Broadcasting Association, cooperated with some scientific research institutions to form an investigation team, using unmanned helicopters and other equipment to conduct various investigations on Nishinoshima. They discover that Nishinoshima is more charming than they imagined and that this island has an exciting future.
