Marathon Boy [Film and TV Commentary]

From the outside, Chu Yuan, who likes zebras and chocolate, is no different from children of the same age. He is just as lively, cute and lovable. But he was diagnosed with autism, and his mother Kyung-sook (played by Kim Mi-sook) fainted in despair after hearing the news. Later, in order to reduce the impact of the disease on the child, the mother invested a lot of effort and hired a coach (played by Lee Ki-young) to train her son to run, hoping that he could run the entire marathon in a real marathon. As time goes by, Chu Yuan (played by Cao Chengyou) has grown into a 20-year-old boy, but his intelligence still remains at the level of a 5-year-old child. He would respect his younger brother as a teacher, and would dance regardless of occasion or location when he heard music, but none of this affected his goal. With the support and encouragement of his kind mother and mentor, he kept running towards the marathon championship.
