Blackthorn [Film and TV Commentary]

The story of the film takes place in Bolivia, Central America, which is where the two protagonists of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" finally died. Jack Blackthorn, an American man played by Sam Shepard, makes a living raising horses. Feeling that his death is not far away, he is determined to return to the United States. On the way Jack meets a fugitive played by Eduardo Noriega, and the two gradually establish an unusual friendship. This film can be called the sequel to "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". It is a western theme that is not common in Spanish movies. It is co-starred by American actor Sam Shepard and Spanish handsome Eduardo Noriega. "The Western theme is actually a moral theme. The choices faced by the characters are simple and pure, whether life and death, or freedom, promise, loyalty, courage, justice and even love," director Matteo Gil said. "The decisions they make are not only full of dramatic effects, but also have educational significance." Gil is the screenwriting partner of the famous director Alexandre Amamba, and has written works such as "Open Your Eyes", "Sleep in the Sea", and "City Square".
