The film is adapted from the novel of the same name published by French writer Franz-Olivier Giesbert in 2006. The story is based on a real mob fight that occurred in Jacques Beit in France in the late 1970s. Charly Matte (played by Jean Reno) was once a godfather of the Marseille gangsters. After a long career in the Marseille mafia / he bid farewell to the chaotic life and began to walk on the right path.
