Dances with Wolves [Film and TV Commentary]

Lieutenant Dunbar (Kevin Costner) played great merit in the Civil War. In order to reward him, the government gave him the privilege of choosing his residence at will. Dunbar longed for a new life, so he chose Sekwick, a remote western outpost. A large number of Sioux Indians lived here. At first, the Sioux resisted his arrival. When Dunbar took the initiative to get closer to and understand their lives, and rescued a white girl who had grown up in the Sioux, the relationship between the Sioux and him began to warm up. He got an Indian name: Dances with Wolves. Dunbar's riding skills amazed his tribe, his kindness was praised by everyone, and he fell in love with the white girl for a long time. During a war against foreign invasion, Dunbar was even named a national hero of the Sioux people. However, the decline of horseback culture was inevitable. White soldiers came to this land, drove away the Sioux, and captured the "traitor" Dunbar. This simple land slowly changed its appearance.
