Growing Old【Film and TV Commentary】

It's a perfect beach holiday, at least that's what one family, a young couple, a few tourists and an exile thought, as they descended on the same secluded, idyllic cove with rock pools and sandy beaches surrounded by green, lush cliffs. But this utopia hides a dark secret: First there's a female corpse floating in the crystal-clear water. There's also a weird fact going on: All children are aging rapidly. Soon everyone notices that they are getting older - every half hour - and there doesn't seem to be any way they can get out of the cove. Shyamalan said the film was inspired by the French graphic novel "Sandcastle" by Pierre Oscar Levy and artist Frederik Peeters. "Sand Castle" is the story of 13 people who cannot leave a mysterious, secluded beach where dark secrets involving time are hidden. However, the comic does not give the reason for the emergence of this time mystery. It is more like a prophecy story about survival and death. But "OLD" is not directly adapted from this graphic novel, so Shyamalan himself will finish the story.
