The Egg Cabin Generation [Film and TV Commentary]

The story takes place in the near future, where artificial intelligence is all the rage and has naturally developed into a distant memory. A New York couple, Rachel and Alvey, are ready to take their relationship to the next level and start a family. Rachel's job gives them access to a new tool developed by tech giant Pegasus, giving couples the chance to share a pregnancy on a more equal basis through a detachable artificial uterus, or "egg capsule." Alvey, a botanist and devout purist, is skeptical of this approach, but his love for Rachel prompts him to give it a try, and the two begin the wild journey of parenthood in this brave new world.
