Clyde Shelton (played by Gerard Butler) is a R&D developer living in a small town in Philadelphia. He has a beautiful wife and lovely daughter, and lives a happy life. But all this was destroyed by a sudden disaster. One night, two thugs broke into his home and murdered his wife and daughter. However, although the evidence was conclusive, due to the pedantic judicial process and the corruption of assistant executive Nick Reese (Jamie Foxx), the chief criminal Clarence Dobie (Christian Stolte) was ultimately sentenced to 10 years in prison due to insufficient evidence.
