Yulenka [Film and TV Commentary]

Tired of the boring and tense atmosphere of the city, university professor Andrei Valendinovich (played by Marat Basharov) in his prime came to live in a remote town with his wife Eva and daughter Sachennika. He found a job in the local girls' church primary school, and the school specially arranged Sachennika in the class where Andrei is the head teacher. All this made him feel satisfied and happy. However, the joy did not last long, and he fell into anxiety on his first day at work. In the class he was in charge of, a girl named Sonica committed suicide by jumping off a building, but the students in the class remained silent about the accident. Soon he even witnessed a school violence incident, but the girl who was beaten did not want Andre to intervene. Doubts and worries made Andre consciously explore the cause.
