The Count of Monte Cristo

Edmond (Louis Jourdan) was a vibrant young sailor who was full of enthusiasm for life and his kind-hearted personality also made him many friends in the world. Mercedes (Yvonne Furneaux) is Edmund's beloved girl. When Edmund returns to land after completing his sea work, the two are ready to get married. Unfortunately, Edmond's happiness made his love rival Fernando (played by Jean-Claude Michel) very jealous. He and the mediocre judge Wilver (played by Bernard Dhéran) sent Edmond to prison on unfounded charges. Seventeen years have passed. With the help of his fellow inmates, Edmund, who was full of hatred, successfully escaped from prison. After he was released from prison, he had only one thought, which was to take revenge on everyone who had led him to the situation he is in today. Edmund transformed into the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo. After successfully entering the upper class, his revenge plan was gradually implemented.
