The commander of a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber was killed during a mission over Sicily in 1943. A young flight officer succeeded the B-17 and became the new flight commander. During a bombing mission from his superiors, he led his brothers into charge. This battle made him understand that every mission would cost the precious lives of many brothers.
