Jake Lamar used to be a good cop. The Boston Police Department named after NICK is proud of his outstanding negotiation skills, and now Jake has become a shadow of himself. A tragedy caused him to give up his job as a negotiator and become a trainer for newcomers. One morning, when Jake woke up, he found himself face to face with two gunmen in his house. With his deaf mute daughter sleeping upstairs, Jake does his best to remain calm in the dangerous situation.
