The Draftsman's Contract

The story takes place in England in 1694. The wealthy Mrs. Hobot (played by Janet Suzman) hired the talented painter Neville (Anthony Higgins). According to the contract, the latter needs to complete twelve paintings for Mrs. Hobot's Compton Anns Manor. During this period, an incestuous relationship developed between Neville and Mrs. Howbot. Talman (Hugh Fraser) is the son-in-law of Mrs. Howbert. He has always hoped to obtain the magnificent Compton Anns Manor. However, his wife Mrs. Talman (Anne-Louise Lambert) has never had an heir. This makes Talman regard Neville, who is rampant in the manor, as a thorn in his side. Soon, Mrs. Talman's name was added to Neville's list of lovers. What he didn't know at this time was that he had fallen into a long-planned conspiracy.
