Pieces of a Woman

Sean (Shia LaBeouf) and Martha (Vanessa Kirby) are waiting expectantly for the birth of their love child. At Martha's request, they decided to invite a midwife to their home and give birth at home. However, when Martha began the delivery process, the midwife she originally selected was unable to come due to something, and another midwife named Ava (Molly Parker) was used to deliver the baby. Tragedy happened. Martha's baby died of suffocation just minutes after birth. When the heavy hammer of fate hits, people can only choose to grit their teeth and endure it silently. In order to seek justice for their dead child, Martha's mother hired lawyer Suzanne (Sarah Snook) to take Ava to court. While facing her own fragmented heart, Martha must also deal with the relationship between her and Sean that is on the verge of collapse. The pressure of her extremely controlling mother has taken away the last breath of air that Martha can breathe.
