The Moment

Detective Eddie (played by Robert De Niro) is a well-known figure in New York. He has long appeared in the media to bring the facts of the case to the public. Two Eastern European men, Emil (Karel Roden) and Oleg, who were recently released from prison, came to New York. They found their accomplice who had betrayed them, killed him and burned the scene to the ground. Oleg, who admired American movies, filmed the whole process. Eddie met arson investigator Jody (Edward Burns) at the burned scene. The latter's enthusiasm caught Eddie's attention, and the two began to cooperate. Both Emil and Jodi discovered the existence of the witness Daphne, and the two sides launched a competition to find Daphne. During the period, Emil and Oleg killed another person, and Eddie felt passive. Finally, Eddie and Jodi encountered two suspects in the store where Daphne worked.
