Middle-aged man Frank (Joel Murray) ) is deeply numb to the noisy world. His life is like a pool of stagnant water, and he lives in confusion every day. He gave in humiliatingly to the intrusion of his selfish neighbors, felt helpless when his ex-wife remarried and his daughter rebelled, and was disgusted by the shameless reality TV contestants. The reality of finally being diagnosed with a brain tumor and losing his job devastated Frank.
