Dave (Adam Sandler) has a gentle appearance, and his beautiful girlfriend Linda (Marisa Tomei). But he lost control of his emotions during a flight and was sent to "emotion management" training. The head of the course, psychiatrist Buddy (Jack Nicholson), is a little crazy himself.
