Women in Love

The story takes place in a British town in the twentieth century. Guchun (Glenda Jackson) and Ursula (Jennie Linden) are two sisters who love each other. The elder sister Guchun works as a teacher in the school and has a strict and rigid personality. The younger sister Ursula just returned to her hometown not long ago. As a liberal painter, she yearns for a free and arbitrary life. At a wedding, the two sisters met two men, Rupert (Alan Bates) and Gerald (Oliver Reed). Ursula and Rupert fell in love and got married together. At the same time, ambiguous feelings also developed between Gu Chun and Gerald. The four of them went to Switzerland for vacation, where Gu Chun met a romantic sculptor and fell in love with him. This was unacceptable to Gerrard.
