Making Woodstock

In the United States in the late 1960s, with the cruelty and remoteness of war and the seemingly unbelievable feat of landing on the moon, young people were looking for a response between themselves and the world. In a small town near White Lake, New York State, in order to take care of his stingy mother, the Jewish young man Elliott (played by Demetri Martin) gave up his job as a designer in New York and returned home to help with the motel business. In order to improve the struggling business, Elliott borrowed the convenience of the president of his local chamber of commerce to prepare for a regular music festival. At the same time, the first Woodstock Music Festival was stalled due to opposition from the local government where it was originally scheduled to be held. Elliott seized this opportunity and invited the organizer to relocate to his hometown. Local residents were worried about the harm that hippie audiences might cause. Elliott's declaration at the press conference to give up charging tickets caused music lovers from all over the country to flock to the event. The number of spectators reached hundreds of thousands, turning the venue into an independent republic caught in a carnival. As the music festival progresses, the Elliot family's problems are also alleviated... The film is based on Elliot Tiber's memoir.
