Forbidden Game

The story took place during the Second World War. The artillery fire of the war destroyed the homes where civilians relied for survival. In desperation, they had to embark on a journey to escape. During an enemy bombing, five-year-old girl Paulette (Brigitte Fossey) witnessed her parents and pet dog being killed. In fear and shock, Paulet found the body of the puppy. Just as she was heartbroken, a boy named Mike (Georges Poujouly) appeared in front of her. Mike was so moved by Paule's tragic experience that he persuaded his parents to adopt the poor little girl and make a grave for her puppy. However, nothing Mike did could alleviate Paula's pain. Looking at her sad expression, Mike thought of a way. The two children collected the carcasses of animals that died in the war and set up tombstones for them with stolen crosses. However, what the two children did not expect was that it was this kind act that caused their final separation.
