Deadly Choice

The tranquility of an idyllic suburb was suddenly broken. Behind the neatly manicured lawn and fence, the girl Sarah was startled by the door slowly blown open by a gust of cold wind. Across the corridor, her parents' bedroom door was ajar. She called to her parents, but there was no answer. She walked into their bedroom and glanced at the bed. She found her parents bound and gagged. Before her brain could function she was brutally grabbed by the hair and shoved against the wall. "Do as I say or you'll die," Scarlip told her. He skillfully turned over an hourglass filled with blood and told her calmly, "I'm going to kill one of your parents. You have sixty seconds to decide which one to kill." Sarah begged Scarlip not to do that, but he told her that if she didn't choose within sixty seconds, both of them would die. All this was just the beginning of a series of cruel choices...
