Life in the Loop

A man trapped in the hell of reincarnation has to face the fact that he killed his wife over and over again. How can he get out of this nightmare cycle? Emerging Canadian director Merlin Dervesevic has been honing his skills for four years. This debut feature film is full of a sense of immediacy at first glance. The jumping and looping scenes constantly change the past, which is comparable to classic works such as "The Butterfly Effect" and "Terror Cruise". However, the carefully polished script makes the film extremely rich in layers. In addition to the complex structure, it also has political metaphors and religious implications. The film received great acclaim when it was screened at the Golden Horse Fantasy Film Festival. The story of redemption in reincarnation, like Sisyphus, kept the audience entertained after leaving the theater.
