Letter to Momoko

After the unexpected death of her father, the 11-year-old sixth-grade elementary school girl Miyaura Momoko (voiced by Miyama Kana) moved with her mother Ikuko (voiced by Yuka) from Tokyo to Shioshima in the Seto Inland Sea. The busy mother has no time to take care of Taozi, which makes Taozi often feel lonely and helpless in the new environment. Taozi has always kept a letter that her father wrote that started with "To Taozi", but she still can't understand what her father wants to convey to her through the letter. When she first arrived at Shishima, Momoko opened an old box containing an album depicting monsters in the attic, and from then on she began to notice a series of incredible things around her. "There must be something existing on Shijima Island." Taozi, who had this idea in her mind, unexpectedly encountered... in the strange and lively summer of Shijima Island...? This film is produced by Production I.G, a well-known Japanese animation company. It is a heartwarming and healing work made by the director of "Werewolf" Keiyuki Okiura after many years of absence.
