The Glory of the Father

"The Glory of My Father" and "The Castle of My Mother" are heart-warming stories that took place in a small mountain village in Provence in the early 20th century. Both films were adapted from the autobiographical novel written by Marcel Pagnol. They tell the story of the author's recollections of his childhood, also called "First Day in the Sun" and "Goodbye in the Sun".
