City Island

Vince (Andy Garcia), a prison guard on the island near New York, went to the city to take acting classes without telling his wife Joyce (Julianna Margulies) and dreams of becoming an actor. Joyce smokes without telling Vince, and her daughter and son also have their own secrets, big and small, and the family is on its own. One day Vince discovered that the newly transferred prisoner Tony (played by Steven Strait) was actually his son who had been abandoned for more than 20 years. Vince took Tony home, hiding the fact from everyone, hoping to use his parole to take good care of his son and get him back on track. At the same time, with the encouragement of his acting classmate Molly (Emily Mortimer), Vince participated in an important movie role interview. Unexpectedly, this caused Joyce's misunderstanding and caused a family crisis... The film won the Audience Choice Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in Manhattan, New York.
