Detective Conan: Crossroads of the Labyrinth

Murders occurred one after another in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. The five victims were all killed instantly by masked shadow men using samurai swords and bows. The police intervened in the investigation and found that the deceased were members of the "Genji Hotaru", a thieving group that frequented three places and specialized in stealing famous Buddhist statues and works of art. There were eight members of the group, who called each other by the names of Yoshitsune's retainers, and all held a copy of Yoshitsune. The "Yoshikune" was taken away from the hands of the five victims. On this day, Sannoji Temple, an ancient temple in Kyoto, received a strange letter, saying that if the riddle attached to the letter could be solved, the Tathagata Buddha statue that was stolen eight years ago could be found. Conan and Xiaolan came to the temple with Maori Kogoro, but they were both at a loss for the rebus puzzle. One of the five killed had taken good care of Hattori Heiji, an Osaka high school student who was as good as Shinichi. Hattori also came to Kyoto to secretly investigate the case and took the opportunity to find his first love. When Conan and Hattori met and jointly investigated, they found that someone wanted to kill Hattori. Then another member of "Hotaru Genji" was killed, and all of this seemed to be related to the rebus.
