Computer game designer Xu Datong (Tony Leung) (played by Jiang Wenli) and his wife Jian Ning (played by Jiang Wenli) have been working hard in the United States for 8 years and have a successful career. An accident turns a beautiful family into a misery: his 5-year-old son is sick, and the old father (played by Zhu Xu) uses traditional Chinese scraping to treat his grandson's illness.
