Attack of Ghazi

In 1971, amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan during the East Pakistan Liberation War, the Pakistan Navy planned an attack on the Indian Majestic-class aircraft carrier INS Vikrant in a high-level secret mission to control the waters of the Bay of Bengal. They sent the first-class submarine PNS Ghazi (Gazi/Warrior), but it was intercepted by the Indian submarine INS Karanj (S21). An underwater attack ensued.
