The Assassination of Yoshikawa

In 1940, Yoshikawa Sadao, the head of the Japanese secret service in the five provinces of North China, took office and strengthened intelligence operations against the military command and underground parties in the occupied areas, becoming a major threat to both the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. The party organization instructed Chen Kuan, the anti-corruption team leader, to join forces with Ye Zifang, the director of the Yutong Yu Station, to break into the headquarters of the Japanese military secret service and assassinate Yoshikawa at close range.
