Jade Warrior

In ancient China thousands of years ago, only a swordsman (played by Tommi Eronen) who was the son of a blacksmith could kill the evil spirit (played by Taishen Cheng) who harmed the world. He can gain eternal life after killing the demon. Before his duel with the devil, the swordsman fell in love with a beautiful woman (played by Zhang Jingchu). The swordsman fought against his fate for love and gave up the opportunity to kill the demon, hoping to be reborn and reunite with his beloved. Thousands of years later in modern Finland, the swordsman finally realized his wish. However, after learning about his mission a thousand years ago, he had to decide where to go. "Jade Warrior", the first epic love movie co-produced by China and Finland, is adapted from the Finnish national epic "Kalevala", which is rich in mythology and lyrical meaning. The film was shot in Finland, Estonia and Hengdian Film and Television Base in Zhejiang, China. The epic and magnificent ancient Chinese scenes combined with the cold modern Finland fully bring out the exotic mysterious beauty of Finland and the leisurely texture of ancient Chinese cities. The action scenes of this film set the pace for the emotional story, and a thousand-year love was magnificently staged.
