Lost Valentine's Day 2023

After five years of absence, the talented director Atsuhiro Yamashita once again worked hard and collaborated with the talented screenwriter Kankuro Miyafuji for the first time. Together with the handsome pair of Masaki Okada and Goya Kiyohara, the 2020 Chinese Taiwanese film "The Lost Valentine" was adapted into a Japanese version. The two made drastic changes to the setting of the original work, moved the stage to Kyoto, reversed the male and female roles, and told an imaginative and touching time-lag love story between a man who is always half a beat ahead of others and a woman who is always half a beat behind others. While the film accurately reproduces the theme of the original work, the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, the unique rhythm of Yamashita, and Gong Jiu's ghostly humor give this film a unique temperament and charm.
