Mr. Sadou (Seamus O'Brien), a stage director, runs an underground theater in a dark corner of New York. The shows performed here are all related to the abuse of women. On the stage, young women were stripped of their clothes and wailed in pain. Performers with expressionless faces tortured them by beating, sawing off their hands, clamping their fingers, gouging out their eyes and even clamping their heads. The performance was brutal and lifelike, and the audience was terrified. Although Mr. Sadhu repeatedly stated the authenticity of the performance, the audience regarded it as a performance with wonderful special effects.
