Get ahead

This film is adapted from a true social story. It tells the story of a young man (played by Zhou Guanqin) who left his hometown and went to Guangzhou in order to get ahead. When he first arrived in Guangzhou to look for a job, he was defrauded of all his money by a leather goods company. When he was desperate, he called his mother for help. When he heard the tone of the last minute of the 200 phone card, he suddenly changed his mind. He lied to his mother that he had found a job in Guangzhou and his boss was very kind to him. In fact, he was penniless and began to wander. After hanging up the phone, he burst into tears and started wandering until one day he was taken in by a kind man, found a job and survived. More than ten years later, he started his own business, but dreams always come with a price. He was framed by his competitors, customers demanded returns, all his employees were sold out, and he had no money to pay the rent. The company faced bankruptcy, and his girlfriend was instigated by competitors and ran away with the rich second generation. Just when he was frustrated and about to give up, someone told him the truth, and the story changed from then on.
