Secrets of the Republic of China: Totem of Divine Punishment

The film tells the story of a major murder discovered in Yongfu Village during the Republic of China. The police station system was outdated and ineffective, and the detective agency was blamed. The president ran away, leaving Zhou Yi (played by Zhou Meng), a female detective who wanted to solve the major case, in confusion. Occasionally receiving advice from an expert, Zhou Yi went to the county prison and met the suave detective Yao Jiesi (played by Peng Jingci), who helped her solve the case together. When the murder case in Yongfu Village first emerged, people died one after another. The mysterious totems in the village ancestral hall, the unruly villagers who do not cooperate with the investigation, the criminal suspects who do not leave fingerprints when committing crimes... Zhou Yi and Yao Jiesi have been in desperate situations many times due to complicated and mysterious cases.
