Blood Splattered at Three Crossroads

The story takes place in the late Southern Song Dynasty. The good minister Jiao Zan (played by Yizhen) was dissatisfied with the fact that the court did not distinguish between black and white and loyal and good people were frequently framed, so he killed Xie Jinwu, the censor, in anger. The imperial court wanted him to have meritorious service in the fight against the Liao Dynasty and spared his death, so he was sent to Salmon Island to be exiled to the army. Sanchakou Inn is the only place to go to Salmon Island. The owner Liu Lihua (played by Wu Yue) sells donkey meat to entertain guests. The store hires a hunchbacked clerk (played by Zhao Liang) to take care of it. On this day, Xie Jinwu's wife (played by Shimei) found Liu Lihua. She made an agreement with him using her color, asking him to kill Jiao Zan who was passing by and take revenge on her husband. Jie Zan escorted Jiao Zan, who was in shackles, to the inn to rest. Jiao took a look and discovered that the owner of the inn was Liu Lihua, who had been rescued by him before. Jiao Zan suffered deeply from the iron shackles all the way and begged Liu Lihua to give him a knife to end it.
