Peach Blossom Fan

The story takes place in the late Ming Dynasty. Hou Chaozong (played by Feng Zhe) is the leader of the literary organization "Fushe". The main target of this organization is the treacherous minister Ruan Dacheng (played by Han Tao). Hou Chaozong's uprightness and literary talent attracted the attention of Li Xiangjun (played by Wang Danfeng), a famous brothel prostitute. The two people who fell in love soon came together and decided to get married. In order to win over Hou Chaozong, Ruan Dacheng anonymously gave Li Xiangjun a huge dowry, but was discovered by Li Xiangjun and returned to the original owner. After the death of Emperor Chongzhen, Hongguang succeeded to the throne. He was deceived by Ruan Dacheng's rhetoric and regarded him as his right-hand man. Ruan Dacheng, who was in power, took this opportunity to frame Hou Chaozong, crack down on Fushe organizations and hunt down radicals. Eight years later, Hou Chaozong is no longer the high-spirited young man he once was.
