Adapted from the national performance script. Princess Shengping (played by Ji Ping), the daughter of Emperor Daizong of the Tang Dynasty, married Guo Ai (played by Guo Fengying), the sixth son of the general Guo Ziyi. According to the regulations in the palace, the red light is hung high before the consort is allowed to enter the palace. After entering the palace, the monarch and his ministers must first pay homage and then talk about the love between husband and wife. When Guo Ziyi heard that Guo Ai had beaten the princess, she immediately kidnapped Guo Ai and went to the palace to plead guilty. Emperor Daizong thought that Guo Ziyi was old and had high achievements, and could not quarrel about private matters for his children and hurt the harmony between the monarch and his ministers.
