Mariko (played by Haruna Takase) is an ordinary housewife who is stuck in endless housework. Mariko feels tired and suffocated. Her only way to seek excitement is to shoplifting. Only at this time can she feel that she is truly alive. By chance, Mariko's theft was seen by a woman named Mitsuko (played by Higuchi Konanko). Worried that the incident would be exposed, Mariko followed Mitsuko's house and bribed the other party with money, hoping that Mitsuko could keep the secret for herself. As time went by, an ambiguous relationship developed between Mariko and Mitsuko. Mariko's husband Kotaro (played by Yoshio Harada) discovered something strange about his wife, and finally learned of Mitsuko's existence. Kotaro never imagined that his love rival would be a woman. However, Mitsuko was so beautiful that Kotaro was attracted to him without knowing it.
