Days in the Clouds

1. In the small town of Fenara, engineer Swano (played by Kim Rossi Stuart) meets female teacher Carmen (played by Inés Sastre). They fall in love at first sight, but Carmen refuses Swano's kiss. When they met again three years later, Swano stopped in front of carnal desires; 2. In a seaside town, a director (played by John Malkovich) met a beautiful woman (played by Sophie Marceau) while wandering. She confessed to the director that she had killed her father with her own hands. They did not become estranged; instead, they became close to each other. 3. In Paris, the wife left her unfaithful husband and met Carlo (played by Jean Reno) who lost his wife when looking for a rental house. They seemed to have found a common mood; 4. A handsome boy falls in love with a girl (played by Irène Jacob). He follows her and confesses his love, only to learn that she is going to dedicate herself to God. The film won the 1996 Italian Film Journalists Association Silver Ribbon Award for Best Orchestration and the 1995 Venice Film Festival FIPRESCI Award.
