China accounts for 95% of the world's production, and North Korea and Japan account for 5%. Among the national output, Northeast China accounts for 80%, and Jiaodong and other places account for 20%. There are abundant tussah forests in the Northeast, which is a good place for raising tussah silkworms. In order to support and develop the tussah sericulture, the People's Government established a sericulture experimental field.
