Youth Impulse

A certain city in the 1990s. Effie (played by Shi Lan) works as a shopping guide in a fashion store. She is born with a good voice, but she is naturally shy. Her boyfriend Gao Dalong (played by Chang Rong) is a driver of a taxi company. He can't bear to bury Effie's talent. During a karaoke singing session, he met Wu Ji (played by Jinggangshan), the manager of Sapphire Nightclub. Wu Li invited Effie to receive formal singing training, and soon Effie made her mark. As Effie becomes more and more famous, Dalong feels that he is not worthy of her and breaks up with her. Effie is greedy for her childhood sweetheart and devotes her first night to Dalong. One night while returning home from a performance, Effie Road was attacked by gangsters. Dalong came to the rescue and accidentally killed a passerby.
