Hong Xiguan's Heroes of Heaven and Earth

The film tells the story of the Kangxi period, when the world was in turmoil. There were three separatist forces, Wu Sangui, Geng Jingzhong, and Shang Kexi, who were ready to move. Anti-Qing and Ming sentiments were also undercurrent; there were Japanese pirates who coveted Chinese treasures and took advantage of the chaos to sneak into the Central Plains. When the country was experiencing internal and external troubles, Hong Xiguan, a Shaolin righteous man, was born and resolutely joined the Tiandihui, dedicating his strength to overthrow the brutal rule, expel the Japanese invaders, and defend his homeland.
