Synopsis

Jackie Chan and John Cena will star in a new untitled action thriller. The original starring Stallone has withdrawn. The film is tentatively titled "Project X" and will be directed by Scott Waugh ("Need for Speed" and "Miracle on the Mountain"). Jackie Chan plays a Chinese private security contractor who is called in to rescue local oil workers when a Chinese oil refinery in the Middle East is attacked. He then realizes the attackers' real plan is to steal oil wealth and he teams up with a former Marine (Cena) to stop them. Jackie Chan co-produced with Joe Tam, Esmond Ren, and Hans Canosa.
