Max Podette (Pierce Brosnan) and Lola Cirillo (Salma Hayek) are a pair of male and female thieves with extraordinary skill and close intimacy. They dominate the world and are famous internationally. They are the envy and adoration of their peers, and the targets of fear and hatred by the police and wealthy businessmen. After a battle of wits with their old rival FBI agent Stan Royd (Woody Harrelson), the two successfully stole a priceless diamond. After that, they both flew to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Central America, and lived a leisurely and secluded life. Although comfortable days are longing for people, Max, who is used to thrilling and licking blood with his knife, gradually cannot restrain the impulse in his heart.
